My finch sock feeder has been finally seeing some action lately, with a pair of American Goldfinches visiting regularly and a lone Lesser Goldfinch making appearances. Their cheerful yellow gets me ready for summer.

The House Finch – my ‘bird of the moment.’ A common, but noticeable sight being one of our more colorful backyard birds. Most often seen zooming amongst the shrubbery or serenading from the power lines.
